Meet Lakin Vaughn, OT
Occupational Therapist & Birth Doula - Fort Worth
Lakin Vaughn received her Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology, with minors in psychology and business, from Abilene Christian University. She went on to earn her Master of Science in Occupational Therapy at the University of Texas Medical Branch. After her own pregnancy and the birth of her son, she became passionate about helping women due to the serious gap in care regarding pelvic health. Lakin has worked largely in acute care where she is an advocate for women’s health, and has implemented post-partum pelvic floor therapy as part of the routine hospital stay. She also teaches birth prep classes to better help prepare women for both labor and the post-partum journey. She is excited to be able to expand her experience into helping women outside of the hospital, as well. Lakin is also a certified birth doula! In her free time, Lakin enjoys spending time with her husband, son, and their two golden retrievers. She loves Jesus, strong coffee, traveling, playing pickleball (just a little competitive), and a glass of good red wine.
