Meet Dr. Leneice,Ā OTD, OTR/L
Occupational Therapist - Midlothian
Dr. Leneice received her Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology from Sam Houston State University, Master of Occupational Therapy degree from Texas Womanā€™s University, and Post-Professional Doctor of Occupational Therapy degree from Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center.
Growing up, Dr. Leneice always knew she wanted to help people, but it was not until her first year in college when she was able to observe an occupational therapist and realize that is what she wanted to be. After graduating OT school, she gained experience in various settings but started to grow an interest in womenā€™s health and pelvic floor therapy after the birth of her first child in 2019. Then, after being blessed to successfully give birth to her twins at home in 2023, she made the commitment to help other women have the prenatal,
birth, and post-partum experience they desire, on their terms.
Her passion for improving black maternal health rates, healthcare equity, accessibility, and quality, have all led her to Genesis where she is ready to serve women of the community and give them the quality care they deserve. Dr. Leneice has completed post- professional training in pelvic floor therapy, perinatal, and post-partum health. She approaches care from a holistic perspective focusing on the expressed needs of the people she works with.
When sheā€™s not working, Dr. Leneice loves to spend time with her husband, Dane, and their 3 children, Langston, Joy, and Josiah. She also enjoys a good Netflix binge, podcasts, and taking Sunday naps after church.
